Most diagnostic tools for SaaS founders are gated lead-magnets that ask twenty surface-level questions and deliver a generic PDF whose only real purpose is to harvest your email. The tools below are different in two specific ways. First, each one is built around the same diligence framework TGC actually uses when we evaluate engagements - not a marketing approximation of it. Second, the scored output is shown to you immediately, on-screen, without an email gate. You can use the result, share it with your co-founders, and walk away.

We publish these because the institutional understanding of growth-stage B2B SaaS readiness is still under-developed in public, and because the founders we work best with tend to be the kind who’d rather diagnose themselves first than hand the question to an advisor. Each tool is free, takes between five and ten minutes, and is built to be useful whether or not you ever speak to us.

How the methodology works

The Scaleup Readiness Assessment evaluates a B2B SaaS company across five dimensions we’ve found to be the strongest predictors of whether a company can execute a step-change in scale: revenue quality (ARR composition, NRR, gross margin), commercial engine maturity (pipeline coverage, sales cycle hygiene, CAC payback), product-engineering capacity (deployment cadence, technical debt posture, platform fitness), governance readiness (board composition, reporting infrastructure, decision rights), and founder leverage (the operating system that lets a founder scale themselves, not just the company). Each dimension is scored independently and rolled up into a tier output: foundation phase, scale-ready, or scale-active.

The framework draws on what we’ve seen across the portfolio and from working alongside European, North American, and Indian B2B SaaS companies over the past several years. It is opinionated and category-specific - it’s designed for founders at €0.5M–€10M ARR who are deciding whether to raise growth capital, when to professionalise their commercial motion, and how to sequence the next two operating stages. It is not designed for pre-revenue founders, consumer companies, or businesses that operate fundamentally outside the B2B SaaS model.

What happens with your data

The diagnostic is anonymous by default - you can complete the full assessment, see your score, and leave without submitting any contact information. If you choose to opt in to receive a more detailed personalised report by email at the end, your details go to TGC’s investment team and are handled in line with the privacy policy. We don’t resell, share, or distribute the data; we don’t add you to a marketing list; and we won’t cold-call you. The follow-up, if any, comes from a named partner.
